Tobogganing & slow train in Wildschönau

Schatzberg toboggan run

The 5 km long toboggan run starts at the Schatzberg middle station, which can be easily reached by gondola lift. As part of the Toboggan World Cup in Innsbruck/Igls, the Wildschönau mountain railways were awarded the Tyrolean toboggan run seal of approval.

Lanerköpfl Niederau toboggan run

Starting from the mountain station of the detachable 4-seater Lanerköpfl chairlift (1,560 m), the toboggan run covers a distance of almost 6 kilometres, passing the Gseng-Alm and Laner-Alm directly to the valley station. Tobogganers overcome a difference in altitude of 736 metres.

Night tobogganing Roggenboden

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, you can relax and toboggan up and down the Roggenboden under floodlights. A special hook system on the lift makes it possible – just sit on the sledge and let yourself be pulled up. This is also great fun for children, as the sledges run on skis and therefore have excellent grip on the slopes.

Slow train

In winter (26 December to 20 February 2025), the slow train offers trips from Auffach to Schönangeralm and back every Thursday. Departure is at 10:20 a.m. at the Schatzbergbahn, with the return trip at 2:20 p.m.

The slow train offers special and group trips for 20 or more people at any time on request.
